Extra support for Shoulders

If your not doing the 2-3-2 movement you won't need this area beefed up.
I'm adding extra to this area and I'm also going to add 2 more shoulder plates
to the inside of Dave's shoulder plate which will make this area 3/8 thick
for the outer leg bearings to mount.
I just figure the movement will add stress to this area and it needs to be strong.

That makes sence but do you already know your artoo's weight before you have built it ;)

No, I'm not sure what the total weight may be when it's finished.
Right now the frame with bearings weigh 7 pounds.
The skins may add a pound or two.

Calvin, have you tested anything for a 2-3-2 yet? I imagine you are building the internal bracing similar to the A&A frame to support the satellite motors...

That's the big difference in this build, No Sats in this design.
The Sat motors have failed time and time again.
I'm thinking completly outside the box.
I want to design a 2-3-2 system that anyone can copy and use available modified parts.
To rotate the legs I will use either 2 motors (1 per leg) or use a single motor with a drive shaft system.
I have it figured out in my head, Now just to get it built.

Can't wait to see your 2-3-2 design because I haven't finished my 2nd artoo yet and have considered it.
